NEW WORK POSTED 1/31/10:
New white line silhouette drawings have been added to the ARTWORK folder. these are not for sale but will eventually become part of a new portfolio to be produced later this year. Hope for big things.
(After that - added three drawings from two years ago that I found that never made it on the site - they look good to me now.)

IN THE PRINT SECTION::
6" x 9" Screen Prints have been reduced (for now) to $10 each. Buy two. They make great gifts (as they say).
Shitscroll - at 12" x 18" has been repriced to $25.
18" x 24" Screen prints are now available at just $30 each. That's not a lot of money for 432 square inches of art & color.

Thanks to everyone who came out and visited The Consumption Show at The Front Room Gallery. After 2 glorious months, the show is over. BUT - the opening for the Front Room holiday show is Saturday, December 6th. Come out and see work by other great Portland artists. You will even have a chance to see a couple of my pieces and purchase some of my prints and portfolios if you forgot to do so while my solo show was up.

Show runs through November 30th
This show of my new and recent work will contain the Dark Psych series of prints, a bevy of new original drawings and two new 18" x 24" four color screen printed posters that will be released on that day. The show includes a cash & carry portion with prints, portfoilios and books available to purchase on the spot through the life of the show. The first 25 attendees to the October 4th opening reception will receive a small screen print exlcusive to this show.

ATTENTION PORTLANDERS.
The 5th Annual Black Frame Art Sale opens Friday, September 12th (5 PM - 9 PM) and will also be open on Saturday from 10 AM - 3 PM. The show is being held at the Merrill Auditorium Rehearsal Hall in Portland, Maine and is conducted by the Bayside Neighborhood association.
Artists with work in the show include me, Allison Baird, Tanya Fletcher, Jim Kelly, Richard Keen, Shannon Rankin, Justin Richel, Bruce Shields, David Wade, Anastasia Weigle, Diane Bowie Zaitlin and many many more. All works are framed and ready for purchase at $200 each. Please come out and support this charitable cause.

CVIC Works is the imprint under which all types of visual forms are created by Chad Verrill. CVIC is a manifest platform to inspire productivity and a business-like approach.
Chad Verrill works tirelessly out of Portland, ME.
His work fuses together the decorative arts and illustrative qualities of the medieval hand-rendered & printed page, the sense of the art deco movement of the early 1900’s, the erotic qualities of early blue book illustrated editions, and the high fantasy of the 70s in which he was born and the 80s in which he learned to love drawing.
The work of Chad Verrill offers a chance to escape, for him as well as the viewer, from the everyday world. Beautiful from a distance, sometimes nightmarish upon closer inspection, it mirrors our perception of the world around us as we grow older but never “grow up."
